CASC Cares
At Casc, we recognize the importance of giving back to our local and global communities.
CASC HAS PARTNERED WITH WORLD VISION TO SUPPORT CLEAN WATER INITIATIVES.
Casc donations total over $159,000.
Clean water is a human right that many take for granted. Casc has made a commitment to support World Vision and their Clean Water Program. World Vision works in some of the most remote areas in the world to provide safe, clean water and help lift people out of poverty. Casc’s annual support helps bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to communities, and helps to cut child deaths by more than half!
In 2024, Casc’s donations were used to provide access to clean drinking water for the residents of Buvumbi hill. The new facility provides 197 people with safer, more accessible clean water. World Vision has also built upon Casc’s gift of clean water access by educating the residents of Buvumbi hill on sanitation and hygiene.
In 2023, our contributions were used for World Vision’s Water Point Project in Kabiti, Ghana. Types of water points may include a water kiosk in a community, a hand-pump well, or a solar-powered system. The water may be provided through a borehole drilled by a drilling rig, it may be provided by a water source such as a protected spring and then a piped water system running into a community. Each water system is either protected or treated to ensure it is safe for users to drink.
In 2022 Casc’s donations were used to install a rig-drilled deep well, a water purification system, and a safe-school latrine system. The latrines are disability-accessible and gender-specific and include sanitation facilities that are critical to helping students practice safe hygiene, stay healthy, and keep focused on learning. Without proper handwashing stations and latrines, kids get sick and miss class, and schools struggle to retain qualified teachers.
In 2021, our contributions paid for the installation of a rig-drilled deep well fitted with a hand pump that can provide 2,800 gallons of safe, life-sustaining water every day for over 300 people in countries like Ethiopia or Mali. These deep wells provide safe, clean water to replace dirty water and poor sanitation/hygiene that contribute to the deaths of more than 800 children every day.
In 2020, our contributions were used toward a Solar-powered water system to replace hand pumps. These systems last longer, are more reliable, and make water delivery possible from miles away, bringing clean water to communities. This reduces time spent on long walks for water, keeping kids in school and helping moms focus on providing for their families.
Each year, Casc supports our local high schools by providing scholarships to 4 college-bound seniors who meet a specific criteria. Casc currently partners with the Redlands Community Scholarship Foundation (RHS, REVHS, and CVHS) and Yucaipa High School.
