CRAFTON HILLS community college SOLAR FARM

The first completed section of the array Crafton Hills College Solar Farm went live on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the area near the campus Soccer Field. The campus is located at 11711 Sand Canyon Road, in Yucaipa, off I-10, in San Bernardino County. CASC was selected by the San Bernardino Community College District to prepare plans for hillside grading, access roads, drainage facilities and erosion control, for this 1.4MW Ground Mounted Concentrated PV Solar project located on approximately 8 acres in the hills near Yucaipa, CA. 

The civil plans were completed on a fast-track basis in order to meet the College’s aggressive schedule. CASC worked closely with the College to developbridging documents (similar to SCE’s PEA level civil support), then completed the final engineering plans for processing through the local agencies. CASC also provided the aerial survey, prepared the topographic maps and provided QSP field support during construction.
