As a child, my mom never let me play in the dirt; so, as an adult, I decided to go into geology because I was encouraged to play with dirt. I stumbled into the water quality field during my work ventures and thesis development. I fell in love with the dynamic work environments because every site is different, and has its own problems and requires its own problem solving. I enjoy being outdoors, and there is nothing like experiencing the different climate changes. My truck is always fully stocked with varying field clothing changes to help me battle the elements. I endeavor to continue to learn, both as an individual and professionally. The continued changes in requirements encourages me to stay educated and be in the know (and there is so much information out there). Being able to pass on tips in field to my clients, helps me to be the best in my profession.
