Job Description

CASC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Engineering Team in our Inland Southern California headquarters office located in Colton. This is an entry-level position, open to both alumni and current college students with a Civil Engineering background. The work will involve a variety of projects in Southern California including government projects, private developments, and major public utility projects. The Civil Engineering work will involve grading, roadways, sewer and water systems, and storm drain design.

Typical job responsibilities:

• Under the guidance and supervision of a licensed professional engineer, assisting in the preparation of plans, engineering drawings, engineering reports, and regulatory applications 
• Performing engineering calculations involving horizontal and vertical roadway design, hydrology, hydraulics, sewer capacity calculations, earthwork quantity calculations, domestic water pipe network analyses, and storm water quality systems 
• Utilizing engineering programs including AutoCAD and Civil3D for design and drafting purposes 
• Analyzing and incorporating local agency requirements, as well as recommendations from traffic and geotechnical engineers
• Performing field design reviews for projects 
• Assisting in client and agency communications 
• Participating in team meetings to understand project goals, budgets and schedules 
• Helping to train new team members regarding basic design principles and company procedures 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (or in progress)
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (Preferred)
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
